STEPS IN THE PERMITTING PROCESS TO OBTAIN A RECYCLED WATER PERMIT IF YOU ARE LOCATED IN THE BIG BEAR LAKE, DWP AREA:

 

  1. Fill out Application and User Information Forms - Be sure to include your APN number of property if available, physical and mailing address. 
  2. Property Plan - A property drawing (hand drawn sketch is acceptable) with street address and proposed recycled water use area must be submitted.
  3. Water Purveyor - Submit your application and rendering to the DWP office located on Garstin Drive: (909) 866-5050. A representative from the DWP will determine if your property is an acceptable distance (100 ft.) from a potable water source. If your property is approved for recycled water use, the DWP will “sign off” on your application on the second page. Prior to leaving the DWP, have a representative sign the indemnification agreement on the last page.
  4. Training - The training requirement can be fulfilled at any time during the permitting process. Training is required by any person who will be handling recycled water. Training is required prior to receiving any recycled water.
  5. Back to BBARWA - Bring or mail (P.O. Box 517, Big Bear City, CA 92314) completed permit papers to BBARWA. Once you are issued a permit number you are authorized to use recycled water.
