1. Call to Order

A special meeting of the Governing Board of the Big Bear Area Regional Wastewater Agency was held on Wednesday, July 31, 2002 at 11:00 a.m. at 41972 Garstin Drive, Big Bear Lake, California.

Governing Board Members present: Bob Colven, Mary Cortez, Bill Mellen, and Jeff Newsome
Governing Board Members absent: Dr. Don Eads

S. Bureau of Reclamation; Laura Koepke, Government Watch/Justice Journal; Nick Kfoury, Seatra Systems; Bob Ludecke, BBMWD; Tim Moran, BBCCSD; Darrell Mulvihill, City of Big Bear Lake; Dottie Saville, DWP; Bill Speyers, DWP; Bill Steele, U. Staff present: Jerry Rang, Treatment Plant Superintendent, and Steven C. Schindler, General Manager.

2. Pledge of Allegiance

Mr. Schindler called the meeting to order at 11:00 a.m. and lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

3. Presentations

A. BBARWA Recycled Water Use Update
Mr. Williams presented an update on the activities and status of the Study Group on the Reclamation Study. He addressed questions from the attendees regarding water reuse.
B. United States Bureau of Reclamation
Mr. Steele presented information on Federal Partnerships and Resources, Drought Planning, and what resources are available to the Big Bear Valley.

4. Public Forum

Mr. Schindler answered questions from Ms. Bard, Ms. Koepke and Mr. Ziegler regarding the use of recycled water.

5. Adjournment

With no further business, Mr. Schindler adjourned the meeting at 2:00 p.m.
